- The second form student at Butere Girls' High School returned home at 6pm without shoes while her mother asked her to go back to the mechanic to get them.
- Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Lizzy's father, Daniel Sam Amollo, said that was the last time he saw their daughter
A distraught family in Kisii County is searching for their little daughter who has been missing for several days.
Gentrine Lizzy Sam disappeared on Saturday evening, January 4, after her mother sent her back to the cobbler.
What time did Lizzy leave home?
The 14-year-old girl had been sent to take her and her sister's shoes to a shoemaker to have them stitched during the day.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Lizzy's father, Daniel Sam Amollo, said the girl left home in the afternoon.
“She left home around eight in the afternoon with two pairs of shoes. This was in preparation for school to open on Monday. She had not indicated in advance that her shoes needed to have the soles repaired until the last minute. Her sister's shoes in Grade Nine also needed to be repaired, so we asked Lizzy to take them to the shoemaker and return with the price so that we can give him money,” he said.

Lizzy left home alone and returned at 6pm with no shoes, which caused mixed feelings for her mother.
What school did Lizzy go to?
As her mother thought her daughter Lizzy had taken the shoes to a local mechanic, she asked her to take them.
“My wife said she would take them to another mechanic herself the next day, Sunday. When Lizzy left, that was the last time she was seen in the house,” Amollo, who was not at home that day, explained.
Amollo shared that they involved the police and Butere Girls High School, where Lizzy studies, to get help to find her.
No new information has been received since then, but the family has not given up on the search for the Form Two student.
