CNN International Correspondent Larry Madowo has urged Kenyans to ignore the recent posts on Billy Mwangi's social media accounts.
Madowo has revealed that the young man from Embu, who had been missing for 15 days, his phone and SIM card were taken by kidnappers.

The famous journalist revealed that a fraudster wrote the Twitter message.
He also explained that Ronny Kiplangat, who was also kidnapped and released after two weeks, was not on X (formerly Twitter).
“Ronny Kiplangat is not on X. He's not the one tweeting; that's a fraud. They took Billy Mwangi's phone and SIM card. He's not the one tweeting. He's also a fraud,” the reporter tweeted.
Billy disappeared from his home in Embu on December 21 and returned home on Monday, January 6, at 8am.

Billy, who is a blogger, was abducted in a barber shop in Embu Town while he was waiting to be shaved.
The video of their emotional reunion shows Billy hugging his crying mother, Regina Wairimu, before slowly wiping away her tears.
He held her, wiped her tears and hugged her again, showing the bond between mother and son.
