Disaster has struck the Kabisimba area in Chepalungu, County Bomet following the death of a 38-year-old Primary School teacher who was recently employed in Nakuru.
Citizen TV reported that the teacher's body was found inside the ceiling of the toilet in his compound early Tuesday morning.
According to the police report, Nelly Bett, the deceased's wife, said that her husband left their house at dawn to go to the toilet but did not return.
Concerned by his long absence, he decided to go investigate and was shocked to find her body hanging in the toilet.
Chepalungu Sub-County Police Commander, Phanton Analo, confirmed the incident, noting that the body had no obvious injuries except for small bruises on the lips.
The authorities revealed that the deceased did not leave any letter, so the cause of the incident is still unknown.
The incident has shocked members of the community and fellow teachers, as many described the teacher as a diligent and dedicated person.
The investigation continues as the police try to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic event.
The body was taken to the local mortuary for further examination as family and friends mourned the sudden loss.
