An Embu woman has revealed what she saw when Billy Mwangi was being released to return to their home this morning, 15 days after he was kidnapped.
Billy Mwangi's family breathed a sigh of relief early this morning after he was released 15 days after he was kidnapped in Embu while he was on his way to a barber.
The video captured when he was reunited with his family also recorded the account of a witness who witnessed how the young man was returned home.
The woman said everything was quiet until she heard “Kujeni! Kujeni!” and he came out of his house screaming in a loud voice.
He said it was then that he saw Billy walking down the street.
“I asked, who is that? Then suddenly, I heard 'come, come!' I came out crying and that's when I saw Billy,” he said.

“We prayed. God is faithful,” the villagers were heard saying.
Billy Mwangi reunites with his family
As TUKO.co.ke reported earlier today, Billy Mwangi's grieving family found relief on Monday morning, January 6, after their handsome young man was found alive.
The video captured the emotional moment when 24-year-old Mwangi hugged her mother, Regina Wairimu.
The two hugged each other for a while while enjoying the precious moment, after the absence of each other since the kidnapping incident.
The request of Billy Mwangi's parents to William Ruto
A week ago, Billy's parents petitioned the government, promising to return their own son if he was released alive.
Mwangi's father, Karicha, said they were hopeful that their son would return home after the president promised to end kidnappings and forced disappearances in the country.
The father said he was apologizing on behalf of his son if the abduction was related to anti-government posts posted online.
