Gachagua expressed his dismay at the political betrayal from his allies during his historic ouster.

Speaking at the funeral service of Eric Mutugi, the son of former Embu senator Lenny Kivuti, Gachagua called on parliamentarians who were misled into believing that his removal would solve the country's issues.

He further clarified that he has no grudge against the MPs, adding that they should not apologize from him but from the people who entrusted him with their votes.

“You know the Speaker of Embu has said that I should forgive those who removed me from power, I have no problem with them, they did not wrong me, the oppressed were the ones who voted for me. and those are the people.

Therefore, if you want peace, apologize to the people. It's not me; I have no problem. I am only the chosen one. Now, if you remove me after being elected, don't you think you have wronged those who elected me?” Gachagua said during a service at Kanyuambora Secondary School in Mbeere on Friday, January 3.

Gachagua continued, protesting the lawmakers who were deceived into believing that his departure would bring progress in the country.

What plan does Gachagua have for Mount Kenya?

Following the political changes, Gachagua assured the residents of Mount Kenya that he is listening to their concerns about the area and that he is ready to lead them forward.

He expressed his concern about the future of the region, warning that they may find themselves in what he described as the current pit.

“I have listened to elders, church leaders, businessmen and professionals; I continue to listen to what is happening in the grassroots. We will give direction to the mountain people on how we will live in this Kenya. Otherwise we may find ourselves in the hole they have put us in, right,” Gachagua added.

Gachagua dances with Kimani Ichung'wah

Earlier, Gachagua denied allegations by the Majority Leader in Parliament Kimani Ichung'wah linking him to the recent kidnapping.

Gachagua accused the President William Ruto and his allies at odds in the kidnapping dispute.

He asked the leaders of Kenya First respecting Kenyan intelligence, accusing Ichung'wah of using “absurd lies” to spoil his name.

The former Member of Parliament for Mathira attributed his struggle in government to his reliance on lies, stressing his loyalty to the truth despite facing opposition.
