Kimani Ichung'wah Reprimanded Natembeya Kisa Asking The Government To Stop Kidnapping

Did Natembeya ask Ruto to stop the kidnapping?

The discussion started when Natembeya took the opportunity to speak at the funeral of Speaker Moses Wetang'ula's mother, where he called Ichung'wah claiming that Kenyans are kidnapping themselves.

“I say this with a very heavy heart, for a leader to stand here and say that people are seizing themselves and killing themselves, I think it is luck bad, our children are lost, captured, some are killed, that is the position. ,” Natembeya said.

He has also called on the President William Ruto to ensure that cases of kidnapping in the country are completed.

Natembeya also said that no one should be kidnapped or killed for their statements on social media.

“Our children insult people on social networks…that must change. But if it cannot change, people should not be killed or kidnapped because of it,” he added.

How did Ichung'wah respond to Natembeya?

Natembeya's comments were not good for the Kikuyu MP. When it was his turn to speak, he angrily criticized Natembeya for claiming that kidnapping was happening in the country.

“Shame on you! And I say again, shame on you, governor. You cannot claim kidnapping when you are the main kidnapper and killer of Kenyans in the previous administration,” Ichung'wah said.

Seeing the situation getting worse, the general secretary of the Union of Trade Unions (COTU) Francis Atwoli he went to Ichung'wah and whispered something in his ear.

Ichung'wah quickly apologized for straying from the main agenda of the event, which was to mourn the death of Speaker Moses Wetang'ula's mother.

However, he continued to criticize Natembeya, seeming to tell him to look for the former deputy president, Rigathi Gachaguaso that they continue the politics of division.

What did the Ichung'wah say about kidnapping?

This incident follows the recent remarks of Ichung'wah, who said that the government has no responsibility to kidnap people through their social networks.

He further claimed that some of the people reported to have been kidnapped are, in fact, hiding in Airbnbs with their spouses.

He also claimed that some Members of Parliament held a meeting in Nyeri to plan strategies to hide in order to raise the concept of kidnapping.
