Why did Gachagua not reveal the kidnapping unit

The former vice president reiterated his previous statements about the special unit allegedly responsible for the kidnapping.

He said he refrained from naming the exact location of the unit to protect innocent people doing legal business in the area.

Gachagua also suggested that Ruto's sudden acceptance of the kidnapping was due to his disclosure.

He urged the president to ensure that the kidnapped people are released, and allow them to be reunited with their families before the New Year.

“I said they need to demolish that unit, I didn't want to mention the building because there are people doing business and they will be putting the people and the building at risk, I am giving the government time to demolish that unit 21 of the building, I said the officer's name is Abel.

I have a feeling that the president's decision that there are kidnappings and to stop them is based on what I said because we are getting closer to the truth. Since the president spoke they have not been released. We would like these young people to spend the New Year with their families. Therefore Mr. President should order them to be released wherever they are and go home, their parents are in grief,” Gachagua appealed.
