President William Ruto has instructed the Cabinet Secretaries Stay MudavadiAden Duale and Salim Mvurya to manage the three vacant ministries.
Mudavadi, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, will lead the Ministry of Technology; Duale, the Minister of Environment, will manage that of Agriculture, while Salim MvuryaMinister of Sports, will be in charge of Business.
The Minister's position in the ICT, Business and Agriculture portfolios was left vacant on December 19 when the president reshuffled the Cabinet.
Margaret Ndung'u, who was the Minister of Technology, was removed from the Cabinet and entrusted with the role of Ambassador General of Kenya to Ghana.
Andrew Karanja, Minister of Agriculture, was appointed Kenyan ambassador to Brazil.
The Ministry of Investment and Trade had its Minister's post vacant after Mvurya was transferred to the Youth Affairs and Sports portfolio, whose Minister, Dating Murkomenwas transferred to the Ministry of Homeland Security.
To fill the vacant positions in the three positions, Ruto appointed the former governor of Nakuru Lee Kinyanjui as Minister of Commerce, first the governor of Kiambu William Kabogo as Minister of Technology and former Minister of Health Mutahi Kagwe to be Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development.
