Njeri's mother speaks after her daughter returns home
Njeri ran away from home as a little girl after sleeping outside one night for fear she would be beaten by her parents.
It was an emotional moment when she was reunited with her mother, who burst into tears after seeing her daughter.
“We waited and consoled ourselves that if she found a husband, she would come back and tell us when she got married. I am very happy because if she had gone and died, I would not have found her. I was praying and telling God to come back while we are still alive because we are very old,” Njeri's mother said while crying.
When did Njeri leave home?
Despite having a family and living elsewhere, Njeri promised to maintain a close relationship with his original family.
“I left here in 1990 and went to get married. There, I gave birth to three children. Now I live Poisonousand I will return there to work with a clean heart; at peace because I found my parents,” he said.
The family organized a celebration to celebrate the return of their daughter, who returned home safe and alive after many years.
They promised to maintain good relations for the future while thanking God for the second chance.
