A Moi University student dies in a horrific accident after graduation the other day

EldoretUasin Gishu – Moi University students are mourning the death of Leonard Kiptoo, a recent graduate who lost his life in an accident just days after receiving his degree.

Kiptoo, who graduated with first class in Political Science and Public Administration, died in a tragic accident on the night of Wednesday, 25 December 2024.

The incident happened at Chepkoilel Junction along Eldoret-Iten Road.

How did the accident happen?

Reports indicate that Leonard Kiptoo was a passenger in a bodaboda, when it collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota Probox.

Kiptoo died on the spot due to the serious injuries he sustained.

Kiptoo was among the 5,757 graduates who were awarded various degrees and honors during the 46th graduation ceremony of Moi University on 19 December 2024.

TUKO.co.ke spoke to Leonard Kiptoo's family, who confirmed the tragic incident and expressed their grief over the loss of their beloved son.

The family, who are still reeling from the shock, asked for privacy as they mourn this difficult time.

Moi's students express their feelings after Leonard's death

Moi University students have received the news of the death of their colleague with great sadness.

Many of them have remembered the times they shared with Leonard, a few days before his death.
