Have the dead Tana River children been found?

According to a report filed at the police station on Wednesday morning, December 25, efforts to recover the bodies of the missing children are ongoing.

This followed a quickly launched search and rescue operation, leading to the recovery of the bodies of two children—a 12-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy.

The other two children are still missing while efforts to find them continue.

“The other two children have not yet been found, and efforts to recover their bodies are ongoing,” read a police report seen by TV47 Digital.

The Galledyertu Sub-County police commander and the sub-county criminal investigation officer visited the scene to gather more information and assist in rescue efforts.

At the same time, the incident has left the residents of the area deeply saddened as the authorities conduct an investigation to determine the circumstances of the tragic deaths.
