Kisumu: 3 people died, 3 were injured in an accident involving a motorcycle and a motorcycle

The Nyakach accident happened

Citizen TV reported that the accident on Thursday, December 26 happened near Kong'ou market along the Katutu-Kendu Bay road.

The police report indicated that the accident occurred after three A Nissan from Kisumu collided head-on with a boda boda from Nyakwere.

In that situation, three people died on the spot, while three others were injured and rushed to St Anne Nyadero Hospital.

According to the police report, the boda boda had four people: the driver and three passengers when the accident happened.

What caused the Mariakani-Kaloleni road accident?

The three deaths add to the series of road accidents that have plagued the nation during this festive season.

For example, Christmas Day turned sad for several families after a fatal road accident killed three people and left others injured on the Mariakani-Kaloleni road.

The accident happened on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, around 5:00 am near the Dam View hotel.

According to Citizen Digital reports, Stephen Fakur Rando was driving a Toyota Porte car from Kaloleni towards Mariakani when the car went off the road and hit six pedestrians who were walking on the side of the road.

Police officers who inspected the scene confirmed that three pedestrians—a woman and two men—died on the spot, while two others were seriously injured.

The driver of the car was also injured in the accident.

The injured were rushed to the Mariakani District Hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were kept in the Coast General Hospital Mortuary.
