Nairobi – Member of Parliament for Embakasi East Grandfather Owino has asked the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to resign due to the increase in kidnapping cases.
Why does Babu Owino want IG Douglas Kanja to resign
On Thursday, December 26, IG Kanja issued a statement denying the involvement of the police in the increasing cases of kidnappings across the country.
Responding to IG Kanja's statement, the MP of Embakasi East said that the IG is incompetent.
“The Inspector General of Police should resign for incompetence. Ruto he must stop kidnapping the youth of this nation.
Kenyans, if you stop the Finance Bill then you can stop 🛑 kidnapping. Kidnappers are criminals and must be treated as such,” Grandfather said.
Babu, who is never afraid to speak his mind, called on Kenyans to treat the kidnappers as thugs, given that the IG has cleared police officers from the cases.
“If you see someone being abducted. Use anything around you to stop it. Now the IG of police Douglas Kanja has separated himself from the abductors, we will deal with them like thugs. Kenyans are going to crush those criminals,” he added.
