President William Ruto has consoled the family of the former Minister of Information, Communications and Digital Economy Margaret Ndung'u.

The former Minister's mother, Rosemary, was announced dead on Tuesday, December 24.

The cause of death was not made public at the time of this publication.

In his message, the president praised the deceased as a mother who knew how to pray and a hard worker dedicated to serving the community.

“Our condolences to the former Minister of Technology, Margaret Nyambura for the passing of her beloved mother Rosemary. She was a hard worker, dedicated to community services. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time of mourning. Rest in peace Cucu, ” Ruto said while uploading a photo on X.

The former governor of Kiambu William Kabogowho was also appointed to replace Nyambura in the Ministry of ICT also consoled the family.

“I send my condolences to the former Minister of ICT, Margaret Nyambura on the passing of her beloved mother, Rosemary. May our Lord Jesus Christ see the family through this difficult time,” said Kabogo.

The death of Nyambura's mother happened a week after he was transferred from the Ministry of ICT to the embassy.

Nyambura was appointed Kenya's High Commissioner to Ghana, while Andrew Karanja, former Minister of Agriculture, was appointed Kenya's ambassador to Brazil.

As mentioned earlier, the post of Nyambura was handed over to Kabogo, who is now waiting to be vetted by the National Assembly Nomination Committee on January 14, 2025.
