Speaking at the inauguration of the AIC Kipkorgot Church in Kapsoya Ward, Ainabkoi Constituency on Sunday, December 22, Shollei disclosed that his actions were in accordance with the instructions from the President William Ruto.

When he mentioned Gachagua, President Ruto was visibly upset, covering his face with one hand while smiling nervously.

The members of the church were also surprised and turned to the president in surprise.

“Mr. President, as your loyal commander, if you tell me to speak briefly, I will do so. If you tell me Gachagua to go home, Gachagua will go home. I always follow orders, and I will continue to do so,” Shollei said, before thanking the believers for their support in the successful construction of the church.

Who Oversaw the Charges to Remove Rigathi Gachagua?

Speaking a few days before the motion to remove Gachagua, Shollei said it was inevitable, insisting that no one would find the president while he was still there.

He explained that he was in charge and would lead the process.

Despite the controversy, Gachagua thanked Shollei for his support during the administration of the former president Uhuru Kenyattawhen he was arrested several times.

However, despite Gachagua defending himself and insisting that he is innocent, the senate eventually voted to remove him because of his controversial tribal remarks, lack of respect for the president, and other issues.
