After being released from several years in prison, a man from Taita Taveta county has failed to hide his great joy.

His happy family waited outside the gate, ready to join him for the first time in half a decade.
“We have found a change, and he has finished his sentence. We have done our part and we are happy. He studied religion and got a certificate after graduation. I have a letter here that confirms that he is a pastor.
He has changed and learned a lot, even while working. If you look at his papers, he has a good reputation, and we have allowed him to work abroad,” said the soldier.
Musau worked as a teacher at Makueni Boys' High School because of his hard work and loyalty he showed in prison.

The soldier encouraged the people to give Musau a second place in society, adding that he was not a bad person.
“I don't believe he was a thief. He was just caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, but he has changed,” he added.
The pastor of Musau praised him for his impact on the lives of his fellow inmates during his transformative journey.
He led the family members in a worship service before dispersing and returning home.
