Natembeya reminds parents of post-festivity obligations – Kenya News Agency

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has challenged Kenyans to exercise moderation during Christmas festivities, reminding them that there is life after festivities.

Calling for peace and order during the festive period, Natembeya reminded the public of the heavy task of school fees and other parental obligations staring at them in January.

Speaking in Kitale during the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Natembeya asked Kenyans to exhibit kindness by sharing the little they have at their disposal with the less fortunate in the society.

Meanwhile, Natembeya urged road users to exercise caution during the festivities in a bid to reduce road accidents.

During the exercise, the Governor was accompanied by his spouse Lilian and Deputy Governor (DG) Philomena Kapkory.

The DG echoed Natembeya’s sentiments and reminded all peace-loving Kenyans to ensure order prevails during the festivities.

She urged motorists to adhere to traffic regulations, explaining that contravention of the same would lead to accidents, as she urged traffic police officers to tighten the noose against would-be offenders.
