A woman from Meru County tells why she walked out of her marriage and has never looked back.
Shayne Makena, via video of TikTokexplained that her husband was cruel and that she continued to live with him even after being beaten.
She said that she decided to leave the marriage after her husband bit her at night during one of his angry outbursts.
“I once told them why I left my marriage. I left and slept next to a mango tree on the day of the incident. He bit me on the back, I was sleeping when I felt the pain,” he said.
A Meru woman confronts her cruel husband
After asking her why she bit her, Makena's husband got angry and started beating her at night, which made her run for her life.
She also claimed that her husband was with another woman and he used to send some of his food to that woman.
“When I asked him why he was biting me, he started punching me, so I ran to sleep near a mango tree. Besides, I was already tired of his habit of stealing my food for his side project,” he added.
The woman noted that she would rather be poor than live in a mansion where she is abused and despised.
