The politician with strong words has indicated his intention to run for the presidency in the next election.

Known for his strong speeches and campaigns aimed at the youth, Babu made the remarks on Thursday, December 19, during the Harvest Church scholarship check distribution ceremony.

Speaking to his constituents, the popular member of parliament rejected proposals to unite with the President William Ruto in the wider administration, saying he will make decisions that will benefit his people.

“Now I hear people saying that I should support Zakayo. Should I support Zacchaeus so that I can continue to oppress them? Let me make my own decisions. I know my mother did not give birth to a fool. I will make the right decisions for my people. Isn't it right? Let's organize ourselves and see how life will be so that I can continue to serve them,” Grandpa told the jubilant crowd.

Why has Babu Owino not announced his intention yet?

Babu expressed his great confidence in taking the top leadership of the country, noting that his experience and perseverance have prepared him for greater challenges.

The MP also revealed his plans to run for the presidency, jokingly touching on his running mate.

He went on to indicate who could be his deputy after the crowd suggested he work with Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro.

He urged his followers to remain focused and united, vowing to continue to attend to their needs.

“Now I have realized that these people cannot be stronger than me. But if they bring Jose Carmargo back, we can say we're coming back Embakasi. Isn't this home, my people? We still have the positions of president, governorship, and we still have our constituency. So, we will test them in the future and see how things go.

But things are getting clearer as the days go by. Actually, I was planning to run for president, so I talked to my running mate but he is still making decisions. You don't know him? He still makes decisions. You don't know him? He still makes decisions. If things go well, we'll show up. You know him, don't you? Things are fine; let's get organized,” he added.
