KCSE 2024 Candidate Allegedly Stabbed By Her Boyfriend After Threatening To Leave Her

Migori – Police in Migori county have launched a manhunt against the suspect who stabbed a female student who took the Secondary (KCSE) 2024 examination.

Who stabbed a KCSE candidate in Migori?

Citizen Digital reported that the 18-year-old candidate, identified as Whitney, was assaulted by David Odhiambo, a boda boda operator.

The assistant chief of Ngege area, Celine Anyango, said the victim is currently receiving treatment at Migori Level Four Hospital, while the suspect is yet to be found.

Anyango said the police have launched a manhunt against the suspect and are confident that they will arrest him soon.

Although the chief's assistant said the circumstances that led to the attack are still unknown, some community members suggested that the girl may have tried to break her relationship with the suspect.

The police are waiting for the victim to recover so that he can give more information about the real reason for the attack.

Who is Vivian Akoth?

In another incident, police in Siaya arrested a 28-year-old woman, Vivian Akoth, who surrendered after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Charlton Obare, 35, to death.

The incident, allegedly motivated by suspicions of betrayal, happened on Saturday, December 7, at night.

According to Grace Otieno, assistant chief of Mur-Ng'iya sub-region, Charlton arrived home around 3pm with his friend, Reagan, before Vivian followed shortly after.

She added that Charlton passed out shortly after, prompting Vivian to ask Reagan to confirm his condition.

After the incident, Vivian fled the scene but later surrendered at the Siaya Police Station.

Vivian, a mother of one, was detained while detectives continued to investigate the incident.
