Matoke's bed bears the marks of terrible torture, a grim reminder of the suffering he suffered before he was injured in the hospital.

According to neighbors, the 52-year-old man cried for help after a heated argument with his wife, which allegedly escalated into a horrific attack.

Matoke and his wife had been living together for the past three years, but their relationship was marred by frequent conflicts, with friends and neighbors recalling many heated arguments.

Benard Gichuru, his neighbour, revealed that he had been called several times to mediate the couple's disputes.

He recounted that he intervened several times, recalling one instance where Matoke's wife said some surprising words.

“Their love was not love but the love of money. That's why I have come here several times to solve issues in this house. There was a time when I came here because he said if Matoke doesn't have money, Matoke is not the man of the house,” he said.

It has been revealed that the suspect was Matoke's second wife for 16 years.

Police in Kaptembwa, Nakuru, confirmed the incident, naming the victim's wife and son as the main suspects in the attack.

“They are in custody, and when we finish the investigation, we will bring them to court for the crime of murder,” Anderson Njagi, Nakuru West police commander said.

In a video on My Street, the deceased girl revealed that she was in Kericho when she received disturbing news from home.

The caller asked him to rush to the hospital in Nakuru because something bad had happened to his father.

Filled with fear and uncertainty, he hurried home, unaware of the devastation that awaited him.
