The two do not see eye to eye, and Cherargei often accuses the minister of corruption and negligence in every portfolio he holds.
Their differences were great when Murkomen served in the Ministry of Roads and Transport.
In an interview with NTV, the senator hinted that it was a bad idea for Ruto returning Murkomen to the Cabinet after dismissing him along with others in July this year.
“I want to thank the president for firing him earlier. He is not fit to serve in the Cabinet now. He was scolded and expelled there Eldoret because there is no work he does in the Ministry of Sports,” Cherargei said.
