Nairobi – The National Assembly has denied reports that it is seeking the approval of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) of some known people for the positions of Cabinet secretary.
A letter purported to be from a parliamentary clerk sent to an anti-corruption agency showed that Parliament sought the approval of former public officials who were considered for appointment to top positions in the President's government. William Ruto.
The people mentioned are the former Minister of Interior Fred Matiang'i, his former colleague on Health Mutahi Kagweformer Minister of Agriculture Peter Munya, former governor of Nakuru Lee Kinyanjui, and current chairman of the Board of Directors of KRA Anthony Mwaura.

Inside Fred Matiang'i's bid
Matiang'i's interest in the presidency became evident after he reportedly obtained the services of an international group of influencers to help him run his presidential bid.
He was said to have hired a group of advisers that helped bring victory to Duma Boko, the recently elected president of Botswana.
On July 13, Matiang'i allegedly signed a contract with the Canadian lobbying firm Dickens & Madson, headed by former Israeli Mossad agent and controversial lobbyist Ari Ben-Menashe.
Matiang'i, who has yet to publicly announce his bid to become president, wants the company to support him by lobbying influential organizations in Kenya, the United States, and foreign governments to boost his international profile and raise money for his campaigns.
It is said that he offered to pay KSh 32 million for those services, including persuading international organizations to support his presidential bid.
