Nairobi: Prominent political activists Morara Kebaso and Kasmuel McOure, known for their strong criticism of the administration of Kenya Firstrecently sat together on national television to share their views on the country's political situation.
Did the Morara, McOure debate heat up?
However, things changed quickly after the two seemed to differ from each other's ideologies. Morara seemed to have a problem with McOure's recent changes after he began to connect with the former prime minister Raila Odinga.
During an interview with Citizen TV, Morara accused Raila Odinga of betraying Gen Z by collaborating with the President William Ruto establish a broad-based government. He claimed that Raila's actions are for self-interest rather than the interests of Kenyans.
“I blame Raila for taking advantage of protest of Gen Z, drawing on the blood of the dead youth for personal gain,” Morara said.
McOure dismissed Morara's criticism, saying that while joining ODM may not have been a popular choice in the world, he joined a party that serves his interests well.
He also said that Morara founded the Inject Party, which grew out of the protests of Gen Z. However, he questioned Morara asking why some members of his party have left due to a conflict of interest.
“His party has no ideology, the party whose powerful members have come forward to criticize the party leader serves nothing more than personal interests, there are reasons why I cannot work with such a party, the problem with people like Morara is that he thinks. because he is a carpenter, he is closer to Christ,” McOure argued.
