What happened to the daughter of Kawangware?

The chief environmental officer found the girl lying on the side of the road in Kawangware and arranged for an ambulance to take her to hospital.

In the video of TikTokGeoffrey Mosiria said that the girl's parents could not take her to the hospital due to financial challenges.

“Today, when I was working in the Kawangware area, I met a girl lying on the side of the road, and I was told that she had been sick for a while. Her parents had no money or health insurance to take her to the hospital,” he said.

He was told that the daughter has been sick for a long time but could not get treatment due to lack of money.

“He has been sick since 2022. We took him to the hospital, but they couldn't figure out what was bothering him,” said his mother.

In the video, the girl is seen lying near a galvanized fence surrounded by people, while an environmental officer calls an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

“Besides my environmental responsibility, I made sure that the girl was taken to Mbagathi hospital for treatment,” he said.

He gave the mother his phone number to inform her about the condition of the daughter, and promised to visit them at the hospital.

Keeping his promise, Mosiria visited the hospital to monitor his progress and make sure he gets the right treatment.

“I was doing an operation in Kawangware when I met a little girl who was very sick. Her parents had no money and no health insurance. They take her outside every day to get some sun, then they bring her back inside.

I took Mbagathi to see a doctor because they had been directed there due to the new regulations of the Community Health Authority (SHA),” he added.

A senior environmental official urged Kenyans to sign up for health insurance, saying the move could help prevent such incidents.

He also followed up with doctors to make sure the girl was helped and admitted for treatment.
