How Kenyans reacted to the low price of cabbage

@4low_ke:

“Have you heard that cabbage is sold for KSh 2? And that's the price the brokers sell it for. At the farm, you get paid KSh 1, then they deduct 50 cents for transportation. So, in short, you sell one. Cabbage for 50 cents. To be honest, trust me when I tell you things it's hard.”

Mickey Mouse:

“In Molo, cabbage is said to cost KSh 2. Farmers are suffering. Imagine you have an acre of cabbage and then you ask someone to buy it for KSh 2 because it is rotting in the field.”

@_Yanoh:

“The UDA supporters who are about to claim that the cabbages being sold for KSh 2 in Molo is because of the good work of Ruto in reducing inflation and commodity prices.”

@MapinduziKE:

“Someone is about to explain how they gave fertilizer to farmers, and that is why cabbage costs KSh 2. Farmers are also suffering!”

Rotarian Tinkah:

“What a waste of land and resources.”

Kariuki Munene:

“You will still find people dying in Turkana because of hunger. Meanwhile, in Molo, a lot of cabbage will go to waste because, tell me, how will a sane farmer sell 1,000 heads of cabbage for Ksh 2,000? The Turkana government or any other county. The government is facing and drought should buy cabbage for KSh 5.”
