One woman out Nanyuki he is reunited with his son, Ian Macharia, who left him 14 years ago.
The woman left Macharia and her father when she was three years old and did not return until recently.
A compassionate woman known as Jane took him in as part of her family and has been raising him until now.
In the video of TikTok shared by Maina Murima TV, the two women and their son appeared at a reconciliation meeting led by a Kameme FM presenter.
In the clip, the young man introduced himself and said he had never seen his mother but would like to see her.
“I've never seen him, but I'd like to know him,” he said.
With many emotions, the mother said that she did not leave him of her own free will, but poverty prevented her from taking care of him.
He added that he has been praying for Macharia and the woman who raised him.
“I did not leave you of my own free will; I was poor and could not take care of you. I pray for you and this woman who cares for you day and night,” he said.
The foster mother explained that she has raised the boy since 2010 and sent him to school since kindergarten.
He added that they never stopped looking for his biological mother.
“I have raised Ian since 2010, and I have taught him since kindergarten. I have never stopped looking for his mother,” he said.
The three embraced to start life anew.
A Kilifi woman reunites with her mother after 22 years
In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that 27-year-old Rose Chisia was about to reunite with her mother after 22 years of separation.
Mother and daughter were separated when Rose was only five years old after her father left her with her aunt in Vihiga before being arrested and imprisoned.
The aunt, who could not bring her back to their home in Kilifi, raised Rose, who eventually decided to look for her mother as an adult.
