Nairobi – Secretary General of the Jubilee Party Jeremiah Kioni has wanted him Raila Odinga to promote his new friendship with President William Ruto.
Kionu urged the veteran politician to push for the opening of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers.
During the church service, Kioni reminded Raila about the dedication of their followers during the protest that followed the disputed 2022 General Election.
He highlighted the loss of life and pain endured by those who demanded transparency in the election process.
“Raila Amollo Odinga, you are now very close to William Ruto. You took us to the march, we were beaten; you were shot when you told them to open the server. Tell that guy to fix the IEBC. You are with him every day. Let's stop bothering each other here. That is something that you should solve, we were fighting for it together and we were almost killed because of saying that the IEBC server should be opened. Why don't they open the server? 94 people died when we were saying open the server,” Kioni said.
The veteran politician pointed out that the call to open the servers of IEBC has been going on since 2007, adding that this will help close those gaps.
“I have wanted the server to be opened since 2007, not just 2022. I wanted from 2007 so that we can see who has been stealing votes; we see how the theft has been going on so that we can fix it,” Kioni said.
What strategy does the opposition have to remove Ruto from power?

He praised Ruto for unwittingly uniting the region politically and suggested that their combined strength with the national coalition could easily remove him from office.
Kioni urged the opposition to focus on building a “one-touch coalition” capable of defeating Ruto in the next election.
“We from Mount Kenya have our numbers, we have never boasted about numbers, and Ruto has put these numbers on the table for us, now we know we have numbers to put and remove. And we will remove him in the morning even if he is the chairman of IEBC. touch union I don't want a game with William Samoei Ruto,” he said.
