- Ghana's John Mahama returned with 56 percent of the vote, defeating Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia amid frustration over the economic crisis

- He emphasized the increasing demand of Kenyans for welfare and responsibility, urging Ruto to prioritize good governance
Kakamega – Senator Boni Khalwali has given a warning to the President William Ruto following the victory of John Dramani Mahama in the general election in Ghana.
Mahama got 56% of the votes in the presidential polls, compared to the ruling party's candidate and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who got 41%.
The former president's dramatic return ended eight years in power for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) under President Nana Akufo-Addo, whose last term was marred by Ghana's worst economic crisis, including default debt.
Bawumia, the former central bank, conceded defeat, admitting that Ghanaians wanted change amid confusion.
Why should Ruto focus on his power?
In a statement, Khalwale asked the head of state to consider his responsibilities if he expects to face voters in the 2027 General Election.
The congressman used recent votes, including the victory of Donald Trump in the United States against the Vice President Kamala Harris to explain the changes in the electorate.
Khalwale warned that tribal anarchy which inadvertently benefited some politicians will not work in the next election.
“Many people in Ghana wanted to restore the prosperity of their country, thus re-electing former president HE Mahama in yesterday's election. Just like the Americans did to President Trump so that MAGA. President @WilliamsRuto should focus on performance. I see Kenyans rejecting ethnic mobilization 2027,” Khalwale said.
Why Ruto will fail in 2027
Similarly, Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi predicted a change in political dynamics before the 2027 General Election.
In his Twitter message on Monday, December 9, Amisi claimed that President William Ruto may not survive the next election.
According to Amisi, many Kenyans are not happy with the administration Kenya First to the point of wanting to sponsor any candidate capable of removing Ruto from power.
The ODM Member of Parliament argued that President Ruto is slowly losing popularity in various parts of the country.
