Former Kenyan President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta has jokingly recalled his efforts to postpone his daughter's wedding.
The fourth president of Kenya opened up about the incident when he attended the wedding of the daughter of Kalonzo Musyoka.
The elegant garden wedding on Saturday, December 7, was attended by a few friends and family members.
How Uhuru was trying to delay Ngina's wedding
Uhuru spoke about his daughter Ngina Kenyatta's wedding plans when he gave a speech during Kalonzo's daughter's ceremony.
“One of the most difficult things is to say goodbye to a daughter who is getting married. We have all been through that. And I faced that problem. I tried to use every reason to delay this. 'You know there is COVID, let's wait a bit, the time has not yet come, let's plan, there is an election coming,' until I lost reason,” he said, cracking the guests' ribs.
However, he wished Kalonzo's daughter all the best in her new step in life after getting married.
