Panic erupted near the Gilgil weighbridge along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway after a Modern Coast company bus caught fire.

The videos that TUKO.co.ke has seen show a fire engulfing the bus that was parked on the side of a busy highway.
Reports indicate that no casualty was reported, as all passengers were safely removed from the bus.
A crowd of people could be seen watching from a distance, thankful that no one was injured in the fire.
“Waah, God has helped them get out of the bus safely,” one female viewer said.
At the time of publishing this report, authorities had not yet confirmed the cause of the fire that broke out in the bus.

The Modern Coast bus caught fire in Mtito Andei
The Modern Coast bus catching fire is not the first incident of its kind. On Thursday, August 29, a bus caught fire near Mtito Andei on its way to Mombasa.
Photos captured at the scene showed the bus burning before it was reduced to ashes.
All the passengers and the driver were safely removed from the Coast Bus Company bus before it was reduced to ashes.
After being evacuated, the passengers were transferred to a rescue bus and continued their journey to Mombasa, where they arrived safely.
Reports indicated that the fire was caused by brake fluid in the rear wheel. The bus company has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
