Kisii: Vincent Nyambunde, a medical attendant at the Kisii Referral Hospital, was found dead with his girlfriend, Angela Moraa, holding hands in a rented house in Nyamataro, Kitutu Chache South.
The incident, which is believed to have happened several days agowas discovered on Friday, November 29, after neighbors noticed a foul smell coming from the house.
What happened in Nyambunde's last moments?
Speaking to the Nation, colleagues of the 29-year-old Nyambunde described him as a diligent person who carried out his duties efficiently without needing supervision.
Before his death, his colleagues noticed that Nyambunde was more quiet and withdrawn.
They also saw that during that period, his lover Moraa who was living in America, visited him frequently at his work.
Although Moraa visited regularly, colleagues said Nyambunde never officially introduced her as his girlfriend.
“He seemed pensive and worried. The woman who died also came to see him at work often. However, he never told us who she was,” said one of his colleagues.
Friends of the deceased described him as a lawyer who had a bright future ahead of him.
What did Nyambunde tell the family before his death?
On Sunday, December 1, new information was revealed showing that the deceased called his mother shortly before he was found dead.
A spokesperson for the family said Nyambunde he called his mother and informed her that he was admitted to ICU at KTRH hospital.
His brother said the family did not know that the deceased had a lover named Moraa.
Vincent's cousin told TUKO.co.ke that the family became worried after several attempts to reach him by phone failed.
