Kirinyaga: Residents of Kimadegwa village were shocked after finding a 3-month-old baby girl abandoned outside the house.

Tenants said they were intrigued by the child's frequent cries and discovered him lying on the ground outside another tenant's house.

Why did the Kirinyaga woman abandon her baby?

The local deputy chief Julius Waweru told Citizen Digital that the child's mother abandoned him after her husband left them and lived with another woman in the same village.

“We are looking for the woman for questioning,” Waweru said.

The infant was rescued and taken to the children's office in the sub-county of Mwea West while the authorities are trying to find the parents.
