Nakuru – Pastor Elias Mutugi Njeru, of the Jesus Compassion Ministry (JCM) Church has announced plans to officially marry his wife Wairimu after 12 years of being together and having children.
When is Elias Njeru's wedding?
Njeru said that he went to his wife for identification and arranged everything, adding that his wife's people recognized him as her husband.
He also noted that they plan to get married in 2025.
“We have been together for 12 years, and we have been blessed with three children. We never got married but I went to them for identification and arranged everything. However, we are planning to have a wedding next year,” he said in an interview with Metha Ya Kagoni.
Did Elias Njeru's wife forgive him?
The controversial pastor said he still doesn't know if his wife has forgiven him, saying he has and still continues to ask for forgiveness for everything that happened between them.
“I came home and asked for forgiveness, and we are fine, but I don't know if he really forgave me,” he said.
However, he said that now his wife is happy because her husband has returned home fully despite the worries he had about everything.
“She is happy that her husband is back home 100 percent, but she was very worried about it all, especially when she found out,” said Njeru.
The JCM member said that Wairimu has been his main supporter since the scandal started and he has continued to pray for and care for him.
“I am very sorry. During this period, my wife has been my number one supporter; she has supported me a lot with prayers. She was always texting me to ask if I am okay and safe, and she has been monitoring everything since day one,” he explained.
The man of God accused of attempted murder gave advice to people to be careful about the kind of people they allow into their lives.
He said some of them may have different agendas that can damage a person's image and emotional stability.
“People should be careful about the people they allow into their lives. Some come with their own agenda to further their own affairs, leaving you in a bad situation. You will find yourself humiliated; the public and the internet will not forget,” he said.

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Elias Njeru, who is the main suspect in the attempted murder of Florence Wanjiku, surrendered to the authorities on November 25.
His lawyer from Gakuhi Chege and Associates Advocates escorted him to the Nakuru police station.
However, Njeru was released on cash bail of KSh 200,000, the court saying the prosecution did not provide sufficient reasons to deny him bail.
