Why Caleb Amisi wants Raila to be respected

Speaking on the ODM leader's legacy, Amisi highlighted Raila's sacrifices during the multi-party war, contrasting them with what he described as the apathy of today's youth.

He noted that while Raila is facing imprisonment in the war for democracy, many are now ignoring his efforts and instead attacking ODM leaders.

“When Raila was in prison fighting for many parties, some of your parents were busy eating with the late former president Daniel Moi,” he demanded.

Reflecting on his own experience, Amisi recounted his alleged narrow escape during protest of the reform of the 2017 elections.

“When I almost died from police bullets fighting for electoral reforms in 2017, you were probably too busy smoking shisha or watching movies. Don't wake up today and start abusing ODM leaders indiscriminately,” the MP warned.

He stressed that meaningful leadership requires integrity, wealth and focus, adding that politics is a game of numbers, not words, insults or insults.

The MP called on young activists to respect the legacy of freedom fighters, pointing out that in the world, such figures are celebrated, not criticized by those who have no historical context.

Who should Kenyans blame for the challenges facing Kenya?

The Member of Parliament also asked the youth to be responsible for the administration of the President William Ruto for the current affairs of Kenya.

Furthermore, Amisi challenged the younger generation to accept their responsibilities. He emphasized that every era has unique challenges, and it is up to the current generation to rise up and deal with them.

“Did you elect Ruto so that Raila would remove your mess? No. Raila's status in the history of African liberation can never be erased. Focus on Ruto and let the Father rule his destiny. Every generation rises up to do what needs to be done. Now you are called as a generation to rise up and do what what needs to be done, Raila cannot help four generations from your grandfather to your grandson. Wake up and do your part,” he said.

How will Ruto grab Nyanza votes?

Earlier, Amisi warned political leaders to be careful as the 2027 General Election approaches, warning of possible strategies by President William Ruto to get votes in opposition strongholds.

Amisi claimed that Ruto may use the same tactics as those used in the 2022 elections, especially in the Nyanza region.

According to the MP, the president can allocate a lot of money to influence some ODM leaders in the area, thus swaying the voters.
