Citizen Digital revealed that the deceased, Margaret Agutu, was attending a ritual gathering at a neighboring house when the incident happened.

According to her husband, Alloyce Ouma Okumu, and their daughter, Stella Athieno, Agutu had joined the session, believing it would help resolve neighborhood issues through what was described as spiritual intervention.

During the prayer, a snake bit Agutu on his finger, and he immediately informed the healer, expecting quick action.

However, her cries for help were ignored, and the ritual continued as her pain worsened.

What did the native doctor say about Agutu being bitten?

In a surprising situation, the local doctor finally realized the seriousness of the situation as Agutu's condition worsened.

Instead of helping her, he quickly packed the snake and his strange tools into a sack and fled the scene, leaving the woman in agony.

Agutu was rushed to the hospital by his family and neighbors, but he died after being bitten by the poison before receiving treatment.

Residents have called on the law enforcement agencies to initiate a thorough investigation to bring the fugitive indigenous doctor to justice.

The family is also asking for financial assistance to pay for the burial while his body is being deposited at the Busia Referral Hospital mortuary.
