Elias Njeru has been in the headlines following allegations that he assaulted his wife Florence Wanjiku Gichohi.

As the pictures online show, the couple lived a happy life together before the incident, which divided Kenyans.
1. What happened to Elias Njeru's wife?
Many famous people wanted justice to be done after Wanjiku was hospitalized.
Earlier reports stated that the businessman was attacked by Njeru who had a quarrel with him and they decided to end the fight peacefully.
Activist Njeri Migwi claimed Elias hit Waniku on the head and stabbed him several times.
2. Was Elias Njeru arrested?
Njeru was a wanted man, and the police confirmed that he surrendered at the Nakuru Police Station on Monday, November 25.
His lawyer accompanied him.
The police arrested him and detained him at Nakuru Police Station, pending transfer to Menengai Police Station.
3. Was Elias Njeru released?
Njeru was released on cash bail of KSh 200,000 or an alternative bond of KSh 500,000.
He appeared before Chief Magistrate Daisy Mose at the Molo Law Court, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempted murder on Monday, November 23.
The court granted bail, citing a lack of compelling reasons from the prosecution to deny his release.

CCTV footage emerged showing a fierce fight between the two.
The footage showed an angry Wanjiru hitting the man's car.
