Frank Japhet, 23, a resident of Mbezi, Dar es Salaam, has been forced to surrender at the Mlandizi Police Station, Kibaha, Coast region, after the burden refused to come off his shoulders.

Where did Japhet get the load he allegedly stole?

While being interrogated at the station, the suspect said that the load, estimated to weigh 20 kilograms, tied in a sack, he stole from a mother in the area of ​​Nyambwiro Street, Mlandizi, Kibaha, Coast region around 7PM on the night of Thursday, May 3, 2018.

The suspect has added that, he left with the load to the Mlandizi bus station, intending to leave it with his colleague so that he could return another load, and that's when the load refused to come off his shoulders.

Japhet has claimed that, he tried to do everything he could to get the load out, including sleeping so that when he got up, he stayed on the ground, but when he got up, he got up with them and when he felt tired, he decided to surrender to the police.

According to the Global Publishers website report that TUKO.co.ke has read, Japhet was still carrying the load while the police were waiting for the owner to take it.

The police have said that they have already sent a message to anyone with the load to come to the station to pick it up and rescue Japheth.

The network later contacted the Pwanai Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jonathan Shanna Warioba and he said:

“It is true that the incident happened last night, and here I am at the meeting, as soon as I leave I will hold a press (meeting with journalists) about the incident at 7:30 in the afternoon,” said the Commander.
