Mwiki, Nairobi: The family of a young woman identified as Eunice Wanja is in mourning after the police informed them that her body was pulled from the river.

Why did Eunice Wanja's sister report her disappearance?

According to the donor Mercy Nungari, the 19-year-old girl traveled from Kirinyaga to Nairobi for industrial activities at Ngong' Road Hotel which lasted for three months.

“After the training, he was hired to work on weekends so on Friday, November 22, he reported for his first day and returned home. On Saturday, November 23, he was attacked in Mwiki, killed and thrown into the river,” said Nungari.

“His phone was switched off all day, which made his sister, Diana, report to the Mwiki Police station, where they were informed about the body of a little girl that was pulled from the river and taken to the mortuary in the city,” he added. .

When her sisters arrived at the city morgue, they found Eunice's body.

“This is heartbreaking…Mwiki Police are investigating this issue further. My condolences to the family,” he said.
