This step is intended to ensure that the former second emir in the country remains highly influential in the political field.
Did Rigathi Gachagua reject the request to join Jubilee?
The TV47 report shows that Gachagua reportedly rejected the former President's request Uhuru Kenyatta to join, revive and give a new name to the struggling Jubilee party.
Gachagua contested against the Jubilee Freedom Party, which is in the Azimio coalition, in the 2022 General Election while competing with William Ruto under the flag of Kenya First.

If the court rules in his favor, the former vice president is reportedly in favor of forming his own political party to advance his agenda.
It is also reported that Uhuru planned to endorse Gachagua as the king of Mount Kenya during the coronation of Pastor Peter Kimani in Embu on Saturday, November 16, but those plans were shelved at the last minute, perhaps due to Ruto's confirmation of his attendance.
Political analyst Macharia Munene emphasized the urgency of Gachagua joining a political party now that he has been dismissed from office.
“If the court clears him, then he would want to be the head of the party and build the party to be strong. This is one of the reasons why he has been speaking positively about making sure that the Mt. Kenya area becomes strong. It has not changed anymore,” Munene told TV47.
Has Gachagua been robbed of guards?
In a separate case, Gachagua claimed that the government has revoked his security, claiming that he is inciting opposition to the Ruto government.
This comes after confidential sources in the Ministry of Interior claimed that “powerful people in the country want Gachagua to be prevented from creating an early campaign situation to allow the government to focus on the implementation of development projects.”
