A video of a little boy skillfully leading a herd of sheep at home excites Kenyans

A young boy identified as Arap Teta has caught the attention of the internet after a viral video showing him tending his father's sheep at home emerged.

Where is Chesumei Constituency?

Young Arap Teta is the son of Levi Kachilei, popularly known as ThisFarmer Kachilei, who is famous for earning a lot of money from raising expensive and well-bred Dorper sheep in Kamoiywo, Chesumei constituency.

In a video shared by the famous farmer, a little boy gently leads a flock of sheep home after feeding them for a day. He also sang to them and the sheep who believed in him followed behind him.

What kind of sheep does Kachilei raise?

Kachilei is known for breeding expensive Dorper sheep, and has since shared how they know their way to the sleeping pen without being directed.

According to the farmer, the sheep have five rooms, and each one knows his room, which increases the efficiency of the farm. Kachilei told TUKO.co.ke that the more one interacts with them, the more they understand because they are ordinary animals.

A man identified as Enock Chirchir said that the video reminded him of the story of Samuel and Jessy in the Bible.

“When David was anointed he was a shepherd… save this video because it will be needed when this king is sworn in as the president of the Republic of Kenya. O God of Birei, let us hear,” he asked.

Kachilei mourns his beloved cow

In another story, Kachilei from Kamoiywo, mourned his dead cow and told TUKO.co.ke that the animal named Malaga was the only cow left in Kap Chemungen's family in his Birei farm.

The sad farmer said Malaga's mother is the best cow he has ever had in his farm, where he keeps more than 10 hybrid cows.

Kachilei revealed that the cow was diagnosed with cancer by a veterinary officer after falling ill in October 2021.
