A Kenyan woman who left her boyfriend in Kiambu 12 weeks after giving birth to premature twins has returned home.
Geffrey Njoroge announced his comeback in a video TikTok which shows them holding the twins.
He expressed his happiness and said that their children will be safe after their mother, Caroline Nyakio returns.
“Back to Mom's twins, Ryan and Ian are in safe hands,” he captioned the video.
The Kiambu man admitted that taking care of the twins over the past month has been difficult, but he was happy that things would improve.
“Mama Ryan and Ian aka Mama twins have finally returned home with their aunt, I'm finally resting guys, it's been a month of hell but God has treated me well, thank you all for your support. ; you're amazing,” he said.
Why did Nyakio abandon his twins
Nyakio left her Kiambu lover, citing postpartum depression.
He said that if he had not run, he would have succumbed to the pressure and harmed himself and the twins.
“It was difficult because I couldn't breastfeed, and the children were crying all the time. They looked like they were getting sicker day by day. I was stressed, and I knew my boyfriend would talk to me about the idea of leaving, but I was afraid. If I stayed, I would harm the children,” he said in an earlier interview with TUKO.co.ke.
However, he showed up a few weeks later, vowing to return as soon as he felt better.
The 20-year-old man confessed to his girlfriend for not abandoning him when she got pregnant, even when it was unexpected.

Chelimo Njoroge expressed more than 10 liters of breast milk, which he took out and put in Njoroge's freezer.
