Why did a parent kneel at Kapsabet Boys High School?
The KCSE examination is finally over, and students and their parents are full of emotions, as shown by a parent of Kapsabet Boys High School who knelt down to thank his son for his success.
Although this year's exams went well, as always, they had their fair share of drama. On one occasion, detectives at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) arrested Stephen Nyang'au Mbeche for alleged misconduct.
How was Stephen Mbeche alleged to have leaked the exams?
According to the detectives, Mbeche was the administrator of the “KCSE 2024 Leakage Group” on Telegram, which was being used to distribute KCSE exam papers. Officers reported that a search in the Mbeche area led to the seizure of a mobile phone and a laptop.
Due to those events and many others, such as diseases, lack of fees, and natural disasters, many parents have been struggling; it's easy to see why one would be grateful.
“I thank God because many did not finish four years in school and I am also happy. All is God. I am happy and grateful. I thank my son because he was disciplined and diligent in his work. He really tried. So far he can only be God,” Anne Chepkorir, a parent at the school, told TUKO.co.ke.
