Newspapers on Wednesday, November 20, published topics concerning the country, including the President's action William Ruto of renewed violence to his Secretaries of Ministers and Secretaries General.
Elsewhere, it emerged that the government has fired workers who served under the former vice president Rigathi Gachagua.
1. The Standard
The Standard newspaper highlighted the sack given to Kenyans employed under the former vice president.
Sources told this newspaper that contract workers two years ago, during Gachagua's tenure at Harambee Annex and Karen, started receiving dismissal notices at the end of the week through text messages.
The messages informed them that their contracts had been terminated.
“I received a communication from HR that my contract has been terminated,” The Standard quoted John Mbuthia, one of those sacked.
This comes a month after another group of 108 workers who served under Gachagua received letters to put them on compulsory leave.
On October 19, Gachagua officials, consultants and contract workers went on an unexpected holiday as their then chief contested his impeachment in court.
Before going on leave, heads of departments were instructed to appoint the officers responsible for their departments in writing, copies of which should be sent to the chief of staff and the administrative secretary.
Gachagua was sent home after both parliaments expelled him.
In the National Assembly, 282 members voted in favor of the charges that formed the basis for his removal.
In the Senate, 54 members approved the accusation of serious violation of the constitution, against 13 who stood with Gachagua.
Kithur Kindikiwho served as Home Affairs Minister, was later appointed by President Willia Ruto as the new deputy president.
The new vice president was sworn in on November 1.
