Muhoroni, Kenya — A Form Four Examination (KCSE) candidate in Muhoroni sub-county has been detained for assault, threatening to kill and possession of drugs.
The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Stephen Biko Olan'go, was arrested on Tuesday at Menara Academy High School following a series of horrific incidents.
According to a report filed at the Muhoroni Police Station, trouble started on November 16, when Olan'go allegedly assaulted a classmate in a heated argument.
The altercation left him with a wound on his forehead, where he received treatment at Muhoroni Hospital and was later allowed to go home.
During his arrest, officers found a knife hidden in his pants pocket, as reported by Citizen TV.
A later inspection of his bedroom revealed a saw frame and hammers tucked under his pillow.
Further investigation revealed that he was also in possession of two grams of illegal drugs.
The situation worsened on the evening of November 19, when Olan'go allegedly armed himself with a knife and threatened to kill the same student.
The incident prompted an emergency call from the school at 2:30 p.m., and police quickly responded, leading to his second arrest.
Olan'go is currently being held at the Muhoroni Police Station while investigations are ongoing.
He is expected to face several charges, including assault, making threats to kill, and possession of illegal drugs.
