Mombasa: DCI Dismisses Claims of 2 People Found Sleeping in William Ruto's House Bed

The Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has dismissed reports that two people were found sleeping in the king's bed William Ruto in Mombasa Palace.

Rumors circulating on social media on Sunday, November 17, claimed that Julius Muthomi and Pius Kang'ethe were arrested after they were found in a bedroom.

According to reports, the discovery was made after the chefs claimed to hear loud 'snoring' sounds coming from the room, prompting security guards to investigate.

DCI what did they say about the rumor?

However, the DCI explained that the two suspects were arrested in Mombasa city center (CBD) by officers of the Central Police Station.

They were arrested in connection with suspected stolen property.

“Contrary to false information circulating online, two suspects – Julius Muthomi, 20, and Pius Kang'ethe Maina, 29 – were arrested on 11 November 2024 by the OCS of the Central Police Station, Mombasa, for handling suspected property theft. The suspects were arrested in Mombasa CBD following information from the public,” DCI said.

The operation, which took place in the Rio building along Digo Road, led to the discovery of 51 mobile phones, several laptops, and other items worth more than KSh 1.2 million.

The items found, along with Muthomi and Kang'ethe, were taken to the police station where legal action was initiated.

The suspected 'pishori beauty' was arrested in Kilimani

In another report, Kilimani police officers arrested a woman suspected of intoxicating a Chadian citizen after a night of entertainment.

The suspect, Consolata Nyangai, was arrested in Hunters, Kasaraniafter the incident in Gemini and Quiver clubs.
