Former president Uhuru Kenyatta, his successor William Ruto, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and his successor Kithure Kindiki were part of those who attended the ordination ceremony of Bishop Peter Kimani at the grounds of Embu University.

The ceremony officially began with Archbishop Anthony Muheria, who recognized the leaders who attended the ceremony.
