- A 47-year-old man from Bomet claimed that the TSC has been ignoring him every chance he gets despite his extensive experience
- According to a Facebook post by Mutai Mukho, Kirui has been working to find such opportunities and even contacted prominent leaders from the area.
- Kirui, who has watched students he taught in the 2000s get TSC jobs while waiting on the sidelines, now wants the teachers' management council to recall him
Bomet: Kirui, a dedicated and passionate primary school teacher who has taught for two decades, has decried being neglected by the Teachers Service Commission over the years.

In a story shared by the Mutai Network on Facebook, it was revealed that despite the efforts and hard work of this 47-year-old teacher to find a job, the government does not pay attention to him when he makes job applications when they arise.
“At the age of 47, he stands as one of the oldest unemployed teachers in Bomet county, a stark contrast to the region's rich history of producing great leaders,” he said.
Kirui comes from an area that has produced leaders such as Linet Toto, Sosion, Molel of Bomet Secondary School, former Member of Parliament Arap Bett, and current senator Beatrice Kones.
Despite claiming that he reached out to these leaders, he did not get the job he wanted TSC.
Why does Mutai want a teaching job at TSC?
“What really hurts Kirui is the fact that many of the students he taught in the early 2000s are now employed by TSC, while he has continued to be ignored,” said Mutai.
“For him, this is an unfair situation that belittles his years of hard work and dedication to the teaching profession,” he added.
Kirui made a request to TSC to recognize his years of dedication and give him the opportunity to contribute his experience in the education sector.
“His story reminds us of the silent challenges that teachers go through in search of a fair and just place to serve their communities,” said Mutai.

Mukulo told TUKO.co.ke that he was aspiring to become a teacher after failing to get TSC positions since he graduated in 2016.
He explained that he is facing a lot of pressure from those who helped him academically, hoping that he would be able to help them eventually.
