Nairobi: Businessman Francis Ng'ang'a has vowed to fight until justice is served following the sudden death of his late wife, Lucy Wambui.

The location of the doctors who operated on Lucy Wambui

On Wednesday, November 13, Ng'ang'a, accompanied by family members and his lawyer, were at the clinic Body by Designwhere his wife was operated on and allegedly had a bowel perforation.

Officers of DCI they were also there and they took computers, CCTV images, and other things that will be used in the Wambui case.

The two doctors and four nurses who operated on Wambui were not present, but the lawyer of Body by Design, Danstan Omarisaid they will appear at the DCI offices on November 14.

“We are sorry because my wife was healthy when she got here; she didn't have any problems,” said Ng'ang'a in an interview with Citizen TV.

He urged the Ministry of Health to control illegal plastic surgery clinics to avoid more deaths.

“I am begging the minister of health to close the clinics run by unqualified professionals. I will follow this case until the end and get justice,” he added.

Previously, in an interview with Citizen TV, a car dealer in the city told how his wife was sick after undergoing cosmetic surgery at the Body by Design clinic.

He said waste was passing through the perforated intestine, which caused the foul smell.

Ng'ang'a blamed the clinic for the death of his wife, explaining how he was sent home and the clinic closed immediately.

Ng'ang'a narrated how efforts to treat his wife at the clinic failed because it was closed and they had no way to reach it.

The beloved husband recounted how the next morning, October 26, he had a conversation with his wife, not knowing that it would be their last communication.

Wambui was buried in a somber ceremony on 5 November.
