Hashim Dagane: Eastleigh Murder Suspect Allegedly Killed His Ethiopian Wife, 3 Children

Nairobi – Hashim Dagane was arrested in connection with the murder of three women from Eastleigh, whose bodies were found in different places in the counties of Nairobi and Machakos.

The search for Dagane, aged 24, increased after the women went missing, and investigators later found a vehicle allegedly used to transport the corpse near Wakulima House, along Ena Coach in CBD Nairobi.

During interrogation, Dagane was linked to the fourth murder case involving Deka Abdinoor Gorone, whose body was found in the Lang'ata cemetery.

Gorone was reported missing on October 24 at the California Police Station, and CCTV footage showed his last movements on October 29, while shopping at Quickmart Supermarket in Nairobi.

Did Hashim Dagane Kill His Wife?

Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday, November 7, the Deputy Director of the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI), John Onyango, revealed more details about the suspect's background.

Onyango explained that Dagane, a Kenyan of Ethiopian origin, is suspected of having a history of violent crimes, including the alleged killing of one of his wives and their three children in Ethiopia.

“He is informed that he had a family in Ethiopia, where he had married three wives and allegedly killed one of them,” Onyango said, adding that the circumstances surrounding Dagane's release from detention in Ethiopia are still unknown.

The investigation is ongoing as investigators continue to collect evidence and connect the allegations of Dagane's involvement in this and possibly other violent crimes.

At the same time, the husband of the woman who was killed along with her niece and daughter revealed the details of their last conversation before her disappearance.

According to Abdi Muhammed, they spoke through WhatsApp when his late wife informed him that she was going to the hospital to examine her itchy skin.

In addition, he said that the brutal killing has brought shock to the family.
